MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Since its opening over the weekend, a resource center at the former UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus was attended by 214 households impacted by the Fox Valley tornado.
The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) at Winnebago County Fox Cities Campus opened Friday for tornado victims to connect directly with organizations helping with recovery.
“Even if you don’t feel like you need services, please come to the resource center,” said Cassidy Walsh, City of Appleton Emergency Management coordinator. “We will continue to directly help residents who have been impacted so no one feels forgotten. Disasters not only ruin property but it takes a toll on our mental health and quickly can overwhelm a person. At the multi-agency resource center, we have teams of people who will help guide folks through the center so it’s not too overwhelming.”
The MARC is at Winnebago County Fox Cities Campus – Engineering Building, 1655 University Drive, Menasha
Hours:
- Friday, August 14: 10 am to 7 pm
- Saturday, August 15: 10 am to 4 pm
Anyone affected by the tornado can come to the MARC for help with financial and food assistance, housing, health and behavioral health services, counseling, supplies, debris cleanup, veteran services and other needs related to the tornado.

The MARC was previously operated by the Mary Beth Neinhaus Activity Center in Appleton Aug. 3-4. When it was in Appleton, it served 66 households over two days.
