ONEIDA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Members of the Oneida Nation have selected their leadership until 2029.
Tehassi Hill was re-elected to serve a three-year term as the chairman of the nine-member Oneida Business Committee.
The committee is a full-time paid body that oversees the daily business of the nation.
Larry Barton was re-elected as treasurer and Lisa Liggins as secretary.
Jameson Wilson was newly elected as vice chairman.
Rounding out the council are Jennifer Webster and Jonas Hill as incumbents and Aliskwet Ellis, Kristal Hill and Lora Danforth as new elected council members.
Results are tentative until they are ratified by the present Business Committee following the resolution of any challenge requests.
The new committee will be inaugurated in a Tribal ceremony on Friday August 28 at Thornberry Creek at Oneida.
