PULASKI, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A local marching band will represent Wisconsin in an all-50-states Independence parade in Philadelphia.
The Pulaski Red Raider Marching Band will perform in the July 3 Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade on the streets where the nation’s independence was born 250 years ago.
The Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade will feature representation from all 50 U.S. states and U.S. territories, including 50 marching bands, 13 floats, military elements, special units, and historical elements, as well as international groups from countries around the globe.
The Red Raider Marching Band has experience in major parades. In 2024, 2017, 2012 and 2007, the band marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The band also performed at Disneyland each of those years while in southern California and in 2019, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City and a Carnegie Hall performance. In 2022, 2015, 2005 and 2001, the band performed at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
