Elias Skenandore (Brown Co. Jail)
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A healthcare worker faces four sexual assault charges for allegedly having sex with a patient who has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old.
Elias Skenandore, 26, was charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault by an employee of a residential are facility for incidents in March and May.
According to the criminal complaint, the group home manager at facility managed by Genuine Hearts contacted police because a patient was upset because she and Eli “had messed around.”
Skenandore told the group home manager the sex was consensual.
When interviewed, the victim described the encounters to police, and said Eli “told her that if she told someone about them having sex she could get him in trouble because she has a disability,” the complaint states.
When interviewed by police, Skenandore said the victim “wanted to feel loved. Elias said they continued to talk and he said he did not develop any feelings for her, but he felt bad for her,” the complaint states.
