(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up their road trip with a win.
Milwaukee beat the Houston Astros 2-0 to secure a series victory and wrapping up the month of May with a 19-7 record for the month.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that they could have been better.
Still, Murphy said that it was a great to get a road win and rest a couple of starters (William Contreras and Jackson Chourio).
Jake Bauers provided all of his team’s offense with a two-run homer in the fourth inning.
Jacob Misiorowski struck out eight batters over seven innings to get the win and Trevor Megill secured his eighth save.
Murphy talked about Misiorowski’s game.
The Brewers return home tonight to battle the San Francisco Giants who are 23-36 and in fourth place in the National League West.
Shane Drohan gets the start tonight for the Brewers who are 35-21. Drohan is 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA.
The Giants will send Landon Roupp to the mound. He is 5-5 with a 3.23 ERA.
