GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Ryder Integrated Logistics will lay off 151 employees after losing a contract, but those workers may be hired by the new provider, according to a notice filed with the state.
Ryder managed sites at 501 Eastman Avenue and 1145 S. Huron Road, but lost the contract. The jobs will be eliminated as of June 30.
“To our knowledge, operations at the site will continue. Further, the customer and incoming logistics provider have expressed their intent to retain as many employees as feasible to continue the site’s operations,” wrote Larry Tish, site director.
The notice filed with the state doesn’t identify who Ryder’s contract was with, but Proctor & Gamble’s website lists the Eastman Avenue address as one of its facilities.
