(WTAQ-WLUK) — Six people were arrested and approximately 125.6 grams of cocaine was seized in a long-term investigation into fraud and drug trafficking in Door County.
On Wednesday, the Door County Sheriff’s Office, the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, and the Door County SWAT Team worked together to serve two residential search warrants and a high-risk traffic stop.
As a result, approximately 125.6 grams of cocaine were seized and six individuals were taken into custody. Additional arrests and charges are anticipated as the investigation continues, authorities say.
Recommended charges related to the arrests include Unauthorized Use of an Individual’s Personal Information or Documents, Theft by Fraud, Delivery of Cocaine (greater than 40 grams), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine (greater than 40 grams), Conspiracy to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, Possession of an Electric Weapon, Possession of THC, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Bail Jumping.
The incident remains under investigation.
