ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –Several Veteran’s Day events are taking place around the Green Bay area to honor veterans and active duty military members.
Hy-Vee held their 25th annual Veterans Day breakfast Monday.
From 6 a.m. until 10 a.m., all veterans and active duty military members received a free buffet-style breakfast.
Veterans also receive 15% off of their grocery bill when they shop at Hy-Vee, Dollar Fresh Market and Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations on Nov. 11.
To celebrate 25 years, select locations have a special memorial to honor and remember the service of military veterans.
Hy-Vee is also holding its annual Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up, raising money for support organizations for American Veterans. The company will match all customer donations up to $100,000 until Nov. 17.
Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up will benefit Hope for the Warriors, Operation First Response, American Red Cross, and the Puppy Jake Foundation.
