ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A second round of COVID-19 testing is underway at Green Bay Correctional Institution amid a rise in positive cases.
A total of 57 cases were reported among facility residents as of Tuesday, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
The DOC says members of the Wisconsin National Guard will be testing every staff member and resident over the next two days.
Residents who test positive will be moved as needed to isolate from others living in the institution, according to the DOC.
The testing is part of DOC efforts to test institutions with high case numbers and communities with elevated numbers of cases.
