GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) โ The Green Bay Police Department is partnering with the Wisconsin State Patrol in an educational enforcement initiative involving commercial motor vehicle laws and heavy truck ordinances.
On Tuesday, March 25 from approximately 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., officers will monitor for violations.
โTypical complaints we get include trucks driving off the heavy truck route, and compression braking,โ said traffic sergeant Sean Hamill. โWe will be focusing on those, and the Wisconsin State Patrol will be assisting with commercial vehicle inspections and any other questions our officers may have.โ

Hamill said this is the first time the police department has done this initiative with the Wisconsin State Patrol, and officers and other city employees had training earlier this year from the State Patrol on commercial motor vehicle laws.
The overall goal is to educate drivers beforehand for compliance.
