(WTAQ-WLUK) — More than $40,000 worth of diapers and wipes were collected during this year’s Brown County diaper drive for families in need.
The 13th annual drive, which ran from Sept. 23 through Oct. 23, collected a total of 94,609 diapers, pull-ups and wipes, valued at an estimated $40,733.
Kimberly-Clark donated more than 75,000 of those diapers and pull-ups.
This year’s drive included the “Stuff the Bus” initiative where Brown County United Way’s HubCAP vehicles and volunteers collected donations at Festival Foods, Hy-Vee and Woodman locations.
Over the years, the diaper drive has collected more than one million diapers for families in need.
The drive is organized by the Brown County United Way and the Greater Green Bay Labor Council.
