AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – ASML, the largest equipment supplier to chipmakers, on Wednesday reported better-than-expected second-quarter net income of 1.6 billion euros ($1.7 billion) on revenues of 6.2 billion euros, while new bookings rose.
Analysts had seen net income at 1.41 billion euros on revenue of 6.04 billion euros, according to LSEG data.
The second-quarter numbers compare with net income of 1.94 billion euros and sales of 6.90 billion euros a year earlier.
