WEYAUWEGA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Northeast Wisconsin community is rallying around a Waupaca County family who lost four children in a suspected drunk driving crash Saturday night in Weyauwega.
Daniel (25), Fabian (23), Lilian (14), and Daniela (9) Gonzalez died after the SUV they were traveling in on Highway 10 was hit head-on by a truck, allegedly driven by 47-year-old Scott Farmer of Neenah. Farmer is facing four charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, OWI 5th offense and operating while revoked.
If you’d like to support the family during this difficult time, here are a few different ways you can help:
Make a donation on GoFundMe
Two GoFundMe pages have been set up to help the family hold funeral services for the victims in Wisconsin before taking them back to their birth place of Ecuador to be buried.
One fundraiser was set up by a cousin of the victims and has raised nearly $31,000 as of Tuesday afternoon. The second fundraiser, organized by a parishioner of the Waupaca church where Kurt Schilling serves as pastor, has garnered over $86,000.
