TOWN OF MAINE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Three people were injured after a rollover crash in Outagamie County.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene on State Highway 187, north of Schinke Road, Friday night around 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found a pickup truck overturned on the road.
The driver of the truck, a 19-year-old male from Shiocton, and a passenger, a 20-year-old from Black Creek, were taken to the hospital in ambulances. A third person in the truck, an 18-year-old from the Town of Maine, was flown to the hospital in a helicopter and is in critical condition.
Officials say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.
State Highway 187 was closed between County Road F and Deer View Road for approximately three hours, but has since re-opened.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Nichols Fire Department, Town of Maine First Responders, Black Creek Ambulance, Shiocton Ambulance, Theda Star, Gold Cross Ambulance and the Outagamie County Highway Department.
