DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Eleven year old Hadley Baker of De Pere is about to undergo five to six weeks of daily radiation. That’s in addition to more than a year of weekly visits to Milwaukee for chemotherapy. Hadley was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Doctors discovered it after first thinking she needed a tooth pulled.
Since then, the community has rallied to join her in her fight. Her classmates are wearing Hope for Hadley bracelets. Others held a lemonade stand and a benefit this weekend will aim to raise awareness for Hadley’s type of cancer and help the family with rising medical costs.
Hadley Baker Cancer Benefit is taking place on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Vickery Village Pavilion, 1749 Riverside Drive in Suamico.
You can follow the Hope for Hadley Facebook page for updates.
