LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The village of Little Chute has received $2,000 from the American Transmission Company to replant sign planter beds at two parks.
The beds at Legion and Van Lieshout parks are under power lines, village parks officials say.
“We’re excited to be updating our sign planter beds as the previous landscape is overgrown,” John McDonald, director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department, said in a news release. “With this grant from ATC, we’ll be able to continue our efforts to reduce park maintenance as well as provide natural beauty within the park.
The money comes from ATC’s Community Planting Program.
ATC is a utility that owns and operates long-distance electric transmission lines and substations in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois.
