GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — There will be a primary election for the Green Bay mayor’s race after four candidates submitted paperwork to run.
City Clerk Celestine Jeffreys identified the four candidates as incumbent Eric Genrich, former state Rep. Chad Weininger, Paul D. Boucher, and Jane M. Juza.
The primary election is set for Feb. 21. The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election April 4.
In Wisconsin, mayoral positions are non-partisan, so the candidates do not run as members of parties. Genrich has held state legislative office as a Democrat and Weininger as a Republican in the past.
