MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were arrested on drug charges as part of a police investigation into the death of a 3-year-old child in Manitowoc.
According to the probable cause statement, police went to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center on Oct. 6 for the death of a child.
That led to a search warrant at the home of Catherine Carter and Lavell Nance. Multiple kinds of drugs were found.
No charges have been filed. The two made separate court appearances Friday, where a $10,000 cash bond was set for each. Formal initial appearances are set for Monday.
Police also requested a child neglect charge against Carter, for allegedly leaving three children unattended. Another adult was in the residence, but sleeping, when Carter left for more than hour that day.
