GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Ahead of the home opener against the Chicago Bears, one of the Packers fences along Lombardi Avenue got a new paint job to ring in the new season.
Artists Zane Statz and Spencer Young have been painting the fence for nine years.
Each year the artists bring a new look related to the Packers.
This year’s design features Packer’s running backs AJ Dillion and Aaron Jones with the caption “Thunder and Lightning”.
“We picked the concept this year because the running backs are going to be strong,” said Statz. “We knew they were going to be strong. First game they showed up pretty strong. We are really excited.”
The artists say they’re glad the community celebrates the tradition.
They say the project takes around 12 to 14 hours to finish.
