SUAMICO, WI (WTAQ) – Sheriff’s officials in Brown County say that the nine-year-old killed in a morning car accident in the Village of Suamico was the daughter of the woman driving the vehicle
The accident happened at 7:40 am Tuesday on Harbor Winds Dr. at Bay Mist Ct. in the Village of Suamico.
A 2019 GMC Yukon was travelling southbound on Harbor Winds Dr. when the child, who was running alongside the vehicle, fell and was struck by the vehicle. The child died at the scene.
The driver of the Yukon, identified as Christine Newkirk, is cooperating fully. Alcohol nor drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
