GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Brown County United Way has received the largest grant in its history.
$999,737 worth of American Rescue Plan Dollars from the state’s Equitable Recovery Grant Program are helping fund an initiative to deliver mobile services to people in the community.
Brown County United Way president and CEO Robyn Davis says they’ll use a passenger van, a class C RV, and a semi-truck and trailer to deliver those services.
“The details around what services will be provided, when, and how often are a few of the details our council is going to be working out,” said Davis.
The grant will fund staffing, promotional, and vehicle maintenance and operational costs. It won’t cover the cost of the vehicles themselves.
“We’ve got lots of work to do before we get the vehicles,” Davis said. “That’s the next heavy lift.”
They’re hoping to either raise funds or received the vehicles through donation.
