MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Appleton man is Making A Difference for the Ronald McDonald House in Madison.
Randolph Sievert donated more than 1 million soda tabs. He’s been collecting them for the past 13 years.
Ronald McDonald House gets 40 cents per pound. Wednesday’s donation weighed 985 pounds.
Sievert started collecting the tabs with his wife. She died of cancer in 2010.
Sievert says his wife was a big supporter of the Ronald McDonald House.
“She just believed in this organization, Sievert said. “Of course, so do I. I think it goes to a good cause.”
The Ronald McDonald House provides free housing for parents with a sick child in the hospital.
