GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Production at the JBS facility in Green Bay will resume today following a company-wide ransomware attack.
In a social media post, JBS says there will be a four-hour delay for production. Fabrication will start at 10 a.m., with harvest starting at 10:15 a.m.
The Green Bay plant was closed Tuesday after the meat processing company said a day earlier that it was targeted by “an organized cybersecurity attack,” which was later confirmed as a ransomware attack. Plants across the United States, Canada and Australia were forced to shut down as a result.
The White House says the attack likely came from Russia.
