MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Menasha High School was briefly put on lockdown Friday due to a “situation in the community,” the police described.

Once police and the school district determined there was no credible threat to the school, students or staff, the building went into a secure/hold which had adult presence at every door.

As more information came from police, the school lifted the hold and remained in a secure status.

Around 10 a.m., the secure status was lifted and the building resumed normal operations.

Police wrote on social media:

We take every report seriously and investigate each situation fully to maintain a safe learning environment.
