GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Football is back in Titletown.
The Green Bay Packers are back for the start of their public practices, with training camp kicking off at 10:30 on Wednesday morning.
Several fans make their way to the Green Bay area for the start of Packers Training Camp, and kids are invited to take part in the storied bike tradition by bringing their bikes to each open practice day and offering Packers players a ride from Lambeau Field to Ray Nitschke Field.
“We’re the only team in the NFL that does something like this,” said Packers President and CEO Ed Policy. “It really is a special tradition that sets us apart. And I don’t think anything displays the close nexus between our team and our community as much as this tradition does today.”
There’s a variety of activities planned for each day:
- Face painting, magician performances, balloon artists
- Nonprofit of the day
- Packers alumni appearances with Geronimo Allison, Tramon Williams Charlie Peprah, George Koonce and Jarrett Bush
- Theme days
- On-site giveaways
