GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Students in the Fox Valley now have the opportunity to learn how to operate a business thanks to a new partnership.
Junior Achievement was joined by its Connected for Kids partners for the official inauguration of the Kids Experimental Learning Storefront at its Grand Chute location.
Students in grades four through six can explore different industries through hands-on learning through ‘JA BizTown.’
The Connected for Kids storefront, through Children’s Wisconsin, ThedaCare and Emplify Health by Bellin, also lets students learn more about patient care and the organizations.
Organizers hope the project will inspire students to pursue a career in healthcare.
“We also know that if you want to be a nurse, a doctor, a lawyer, a child life specialist, those conversations actually happen well before they ever apply for college, whether they apply for technical school or any application. So we had to spark that curiosity and we had to spark that innovation early and that’s what starts here,” Emplify Health by Bellin’s Jamie Hagenow Sekora said.
The storefront opened earlier this year at 11 Tri Park Way.
