MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A third suspect in what police described as the largest fentanyl pill seizure in state history was convicted Thursday.
Jose Gamez, 28, pleaded no contest to one counts of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 10, court records show.
Previously, Trevor Hock was sentenced to 15 years in prison, while Dylan Hock was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
A January 2025 search of their vehicle revealed 43.2 pounds of fentanyl, disguised as prescription medication, destined for distribution in Northeast Wisconsin.
The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is approximately $5.8 million. This seizure is the largest fentanyl pill seizure in Manitowoc County history and is believed to be the largest in Wisconsin.
