APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Appleton Police Department wants to know how it can better engage with the community.
The department launched a public survey Tuesday. The 13-question survey asks community members what crimes they are most concerned about, how they interact with the police department and how they would like to receive communication from the police department. It ends with open-ended questions seeking feedback for the department.
The survey can be taken in English, Spanish and Hmong. It will be open until July 17.
In addition, officers plan to hold in-person public engagements to share information and answer questions. The first session is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Appleton Public Library. Additional events will be announced on the police department’s social media accounts.
