MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Three administrators from Northeast Wisconsin are finalists to become the next superintendent of the Menasha Joint School District.
The finalists are:
- Steve Hill, Waupun district administrator: Hill has also served as principal of Woodworth Middle School in Fond du Lac, assistant principal, athletic director and summer school director in the Hartford School District and teacher and assistant principal in the Erin School District.
- Lucas Lechnir, head principal at Seymour Middle School: Lechnir has also served as principal of Lombardi Middle School in Green Bay and associate principal and athletic director at Preble High School in Green Bay. Lechnir is a former physical education teacher at the elementary and high school levels.
- Dan Slowey, director of secondary education and school leadership and Advancement Via Individual Determination district director at the Green Bay Area Public School District: Slowey previously served as principal and associate principal at Edison Middle School in Green Bay, co-principal and associate principal at Pulaski High School, assistant principal at J.R. Gerritts Middle School and as positive youth development coordinator and educator in the Kimberly Area School District.
The school board plans to interview all three candidates Monday and announce the selection in mid-June, with the next superintendent beginning July 1.
The next superintendent will succeed Matt Zimmerman, who is taking a district-wide administrative position within the Appleton Area School District.
