GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash Thursday.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call of a crash between a vehicle and motorcycle at the intersection of Spring Road and Julius Drive in the Village of Greenville.
A preliminary investigation shows a 36-year-old Greenville man was headed westbound on Spring Road in a pickup truck.
The motorcycle, occupied by a 70-year-old man and 71-year-old woman, both from Greenville, was stopped at the intersection on Julius Drive at Spring Road.
Deputies say as the motorcycle turned eastbound on Spring Road, it was hit by the pickup truck, which was making a southbound turn onto Julius Drive.
An ambulance transported the motorcycle passenger to a local hospital for severe injuries.
The motorcycle driver also suffered severe injuries and had to be flown to a hospital.
The pickup truck driver was not hurt.
Deputies say they don’t believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
The area where the crash happened was closed for about 2 1/2 hours but has since reopened.
