GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Although Northeast Wisconsin residents have enjoyed record-breaking warmth so far this winter, temperatures in the Sunshine State still have us beat.
Traveling there will soon be easier, with the announcement Wednesday that Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) is bringing back non-stop flights to popular cities in Florida.
Beginning in January, Frontier Airlines will resume its non-stop service to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Departure dates are already available through summer 2024.
Additionally, non-stop flights to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers through Sun County Airlines will return in February. Flights will be available on Sundays and Tuesdays.
“While we are all proud to live in the Frozen Tundra, it’s still the ‘frozen’ tundra in winter,” Airport Director Marty Piette said in a news release. “With these affordable flights, families have the opportunity to fly directly to warmer destinations for a little fun in the sun.”
