GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay community is rallying together to help make a difference against world hunger.
Feed My Starving Children, 11 area churches, and volunteers will be aiming to pack 500,000 meals for children at Green Bay Community Church.
“We become a human assembly line. We are the ones that are packing the meals,” said Vanessa Moran, media chair for Green Bay FMSC. “It’s not machine-packed, it’s hand-packed. And because of that, we need about 3,000 volunteers to make this all possible.”
On Monday, crews were helping set up assembly line stations for the meal packing.
The meals will go to children in a number of countries, like Ukraine and South Africa.
The event runs through Thursday.
Volunteers are still needed throughout the week. Click here to sign up.
