GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Howard-Suamico School District is hosting an open house on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for community members to tour the newly renovated Forest Glen Elementary and Bay View Middle School.
Forest Glen will be fully complete in October 2023. Bay View will be fully complete in the second half of 2024.
On April 6, 2021, Howard and Suamico residents approved a facilities referendum to borrow $98 million to renovate and improve all eight buildings. Forest Glen and Bay View are the first buildings to undergo renovation.
Parking at Bay View will be available in lots off of Woodale Avenue and on the street on Cardinal Lane. Parking at Forest Glen will be available in the main parking lot.
Kimberly Uelmen, director of school and community relations for the Howard-Suamico School District, says Forest Glen now features a forest theme.
“Kindergarten and 1st grade have colors that go with the understory of the forest, and grades 2-4 have the top of the forest like blues and greens,” said Uelmen. “You’ll see different barks and trees for hands on learning.”
