FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man was flown to a hospital after a stabbing in Fond du Lac.
Police were called to the 100 block of E. Merrill Avenue around 5:42 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a fight where one person was stabbed.
When officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old man still holding a knife. Officers ordered the man to drop the knife and gun point, which he did. He was taken into custody without further incident.
The victim, a 40-year-old Fond du Lac man, had knife wounds to his abdomen, shoulder and neck areas. He was flown to the hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was also taken to the hospital for a suspected shoulder injury.
The investigation into the circumstances that led up to the stabbing is active and ongoing at this time.
Both individuals are known to each other and this is believed to be an isolated incident.
