MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ A sprinkler system is credited with preventing the spread of a fire in Menasha Monday morning.
Firefighters say they were called to 1860 Novak Dr. around 11:30 a.m. When crews arrived, they found a pile of trash โ that had been moved from inside the building โ on fire outside the building and smoke in the building. Crews were able to put the fire out.
Winnebago County records show the property is owned by Waste Management of Wisconsin.
The fire did not spread to any other parts of the building or equipment inside the building.
Firefighters say the fire appears to have been accidental, but they have not been able to determine what caused it.
