GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman faces reckless homicide charges for allegedly providing the fentanyl which killed her boyfriend on Christmas.
Sarah Dahl, 30, was ordered to be held on a $50,000 cash bond during an initial court appearance Thursday, court records show.
A competency exam was requested, but since court commissioners cannot order such exams, the case was scheduled to go before a judge on July 21.
Competency refers to a defendant’s ability to understand the court proceedings and assist in their own defense.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a Town of Morrison residence early on Dec. 26 for a 37-year-old man who wasn’t breathing and was declared dead. The victim is only identified by his initials, “DJT.”
Police found a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Cell phone records outline drug deals. A witness told police Dahl said she had given DJT two ‘oxy’ pills as a gift and that the death was an overdose, the complaint states.
