FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people face attempted homicide charges for a May 23 shooting at a Fond du Lac convenience store — which may be related to the May 7 fatal shooting at Maplewood Commons.
Adamite Willey, 16, and Lamarion Moore, 19, each face attempted first-degree intentional homicide charges. Moore also faces bail jumping counts. A $1 million cash bond was set for each suspect Monday.
In Wisconsin, those ages 16 and older facing most homicide counts are charged in adult court, with an ability to ask to have the case moved to juvenile court at a later stage of the case.
According to the criminal complaint, police were dispatched to the Pioneer Pit Gas Station, 20 E. Pioneer Road, for a report of gun shots. A vehicle was struck multiple times.
During the investigation, police learned the struck vehicle may have been used to transport Antonio Johnston and Parise Larry after the fatal shooting at Maplewood Commons, the complaint states. Johnston and Larry are charged in connection with the shooting which killed Tatyanna Zech, and injured others.
“During that investigation it was believed that two gangs are operating in the City of Fond du Lac… It is believed that Larry and Johnston are members of (one gang) and an alleged victim of the May 7 shooting is a member of (another gang),” the complaint states.
Moore admitted to police he drove to the gas station, Willey got out, shots were fired, Willey returned to the vehicle, and they left the scene. Willey denied involvement, the complaint states, but police recovered evidence from his cell phone with incriminating comments.
