GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Green Bay Police Department has released the name of the individual who was the victim from an ice rescue and recovery effort on the East River on Saturday.
The deceased individual was identified as 47 year old Dennis Doxtater from Green Bay.
The Green Bay Police Department Dive Team recovered the deceased male from the water on Saturday after a passerby reported to have seen a backpack next to a hole in the ice by the foot bridge along the East River Trail near the 1400 block of E. Walnut Street.
The initial investigation currently does not indicate foul play; the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy.
