SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has provided more information regarding two individuals who were found deceased on Friday at about 9:15 a.m. at a residence on Little Elkhart Lake Road in the Town of Rhine.
The two individuals have been identified as 56 year old Douglas Lax and 61 year old Jane Fontaine. The investigation shows this was an incident of domestic homicide and suicide. Lax used a firearm to kill his spouse, Fontaine, and then used the same firearm to shoot himself.
While this investigation is ongoing, officials say this incident is contained to this residence and there is no ongoing threat to the safety of the community.
