MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Gold Cross Ambulance Service is launching a new EMS training program in 2023.
It’s in partnership with Lake Country Fire and Rescue.
Students in the Cadet Training Program will be hired and paid by Gold Cross Ambulance to attend the 180-hour course.
Upon completion of their national registry certification, students will be positioned for full-time employment at Gold Cross Ambulance.
“This is the perfect opportunity to get involved in meaningful, important work, as well as to start a new career path, and to get paid while doing it,” said Gold Cross Ambulance Operations Director Nick Romenesko.
Romenesko says having EMS training is a valuable skill to have in any emergency situation.
The January 2023 EMS training program is full. Romenesko says there are plans for another session later this year.
