MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) — Americans have mixed feelings about the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
According to a Marquette University Law School Poll released this week, 63% disapprove of how President Joe Biden handled the withdrawal and only 36% approve, but most people agreed with leaving the country.
“74% say the US should have withdrawn from Afghanistan and only 26% think we should still stay there,” Poll Director Charles Franklin told WTAQ’s ‘The Morning News with Matt and Earl’.
Moreover, most people say the war in Afghanistan wasn’t worth it…at all.
“74% say the war was not worth it, and only 25% say it was,” said Franklin.
The war in Afghanistan lasted for 20 years. It was America’s longest conflict.
