DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — The Brown County Fair has begun.
The fair opened on Wednesday at the fairgrounds in De Pere. The fair was one of the few in the state that wasn’t canceled last year during the height of the pandemic. Mike Hoskens is the fair board president, and says that the fair is back to its full glory.
“It’s great to be back,” Hoskens says. “To see the smiles on the young exhibitors faces…that’s what we’re here for.”
The fair includes the typical ag exhibits, the carnival, and the food vendors…but there’s plenty more as well.
“We’ve got something going on every night,” Hoskens told WTAQ. “A new thing we have here is the Aussie Kingdom exhibit, which has wallabies and kangaroos. That’s going to be really cool.”
The fair also includes a Tractor pull Thursday night at 7. The PCRA Rodeo will kick off on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30. The fair runs until Sunday.
