Investigators have said that, around 7:30 Saturday night, Pofahl walked into the Duck Creek Restaurant + Bar, went to a waiter station, and fatally shot Jacob T. Bartel and Ian J. Simpson. Pofahl then allegedly shot Daniel L. Mulligan, who survived.
According to Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain, Pofahl was a former Duck Creek Kitchen + Bar food and beverage manager. he had been fired earlier this year and was banned from the building. Another employee had taken out a restraining order against Pofahl, but did not request that he be forced to turn in any guns.
