MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Two separate vehicle pursuits in Manitowoc County on Saturday and Monday have resulted in three arrests.
The first pursuit on Saturday happened at approximately 4:25 a.m. and resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Joshua Lawrence of Milwaukee after he refused to stop for a Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputy attempting to make a traffic stop.
Manitowoc Sheriff’s say Lawrence was traveling along Interstate 43 southbound near County Highway JJ within the Township of Manitowoc Rapids where authorities tried stopping him for traveling at a high rate of speed.
Authorities say speeds of the pursuit reached up to 95 mph.
When Lawrence tried to exit I43 at US Highway 151, he hit the curb which caused the front driver’s side tire to deflate.
Lawrence continued fleeing deputies, and when he attempted to turn southbound on Brunner Road he hit another curb and the vehicle traveled into the front yard of a residence.
Deputies say Lawrence then tried to exit the 2020 Hyundai Elantra he was driving and flee on foot, but was apprehended in the 9700 block of Old Highway 51.
Lawrence is being charged with felony-fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, and a probation hold. He was also issued citations for speeding, operating after revocation, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputy was able to locate the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on County Highway LS.
The vehicle’s front passenger side wheel was disabled from the crash, according to authorities.
When the deputy attempted to make a traffic stop, the vehicle continued along CTH LS and while approaching CTH U the front drivers side tire deflated.
The vehicle continued northbound despite both front wheels being disabled, but was eventually stopped in the City of Manitowoc at the 1300 block of South 10th street.
The driver was identified as 38-year-old Robert Autman of Milwaukee, who was arrested for felony-fleeing, operating while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, operating after revocation, and a probation hold.
Autman’s passenger, 40-year-old Marissa Flores from Milwaukee, was also arrested. Authorities found that it was Flores who was operating the vehicle at the time of the hit and run crash.
