MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man and woman from Manitowoc were arrested while driving back home from a suspected drug deal in Milwaukee.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office says Malachi Hetzer, 29, and Breanna Pieschel, 32, were arrested Tuesday afternoon while driving along Interstate 43 south of Manitowoc. Officials say they tracked the two, and agents in Milwaukee saw them make an apparent drug deal.
Investigators say they found drug paraphernalia in the pair’s vehicle.
When investigators took Pieschel to the jail, they say they found more drugs and packaging in her clothes. Officers say they found 35 grams of meth, two grams of heroin and five grams of fentanyl. Investigators are recommending she be charged with delivery of a Schedule II narcotic within 1,000 feet of a park, keeping a drug house, bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver meth, fentanyl and heroin.
Hetzer could be charged with being party to the crime of possession of meth, fentanyl and heroin with intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
No formal charges have been filed so far.
The two were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
