MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI – Even though there aren’t many fairs happening this year, some counties are still giving the kids an opportunity to showcase their animals.
One of those counties is Manitowoc County. Thanks to the Manitowoc County Holstein Association, the kids that planned on bringing dairy cattle to the fair will still be able to show! The event is called the 2020 Manitowoc County Roundup, which takes place on August 21st and 22nd.
I spoke with one of the organizers of the event, Brenda Meyer. She explained who’s eligible to be a part of the show.
- Residents of Manitowoc County
- Any exhibitors of the 2018 or 2019 county fair
- Anyone with an affiliation to an agriculture organization in Manitowoc County that planned to show at the fair this year.
You can check out all of the rules for the 2020 Manitowoc County Roundup here.
Meyer also mentioned that even though the Manitowoc County Holstein Association is putting on the event, that doesn’t mean you have to show a Holstein. The only difference is that they aren’t having an “any other breed” class like the county fair normally does. They will however have a futurity show as well!
The registration deadline is July 30th.
