APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) — The Wisconsin State Patrol is stepping up highway enforcement in Fond du Lac and Outagamie Counties.
The state patrol will use an airplane to monitor highway speeds.
“In the airplane we have something called a VASCAR unit…that allows him to track speed from the aircraft,” said State Patrol Sgt. Luke Wilson.
That data will be relayed to units on the ground, who will move in to make a traffic stop.
The enforcement will be held Thursday in Fond du Lac County along highway 26 and on August 1st along I-41 in Outagamie County.
